He is Risen with Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude

Reading for the day

Matthew 28:1-7
In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Happy Easter to every one of you where you are and in whatever situation or condition you are in, the God who brought Jesus out of the grave will bring you out of it all.

This piece of good news came out early on the first day of the week, Jesus appeared first to Mary Magdalene ( the one from whom He cast out seven demons). The messages of Easter are life molding, it shapes our lives, it is a message that God convey through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ shapes our lives.

Where ever you the Lord God will intervene in your situation in Jesus’ name. Amen

Mark 16:9
Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
That message given to Mary Magdalene was too good to be true.
when the other disciples were still hiding, she passionately went out to the tomb with spices to anoint the body of Christ according to the customs of their day.
She did not forget the place from which Christ set you free. She left her inadequacies to seek Jesus.
When the angel appeared at the tomb and rolled the stone away before she came, He gave her a good news that He is risen.
In the name of Jesus may God give you a pleasant surprise.
The stone has been rolled away, so fear not!
The message of the resurrection morning is FEAR NOT!
Wherever you are God is saying fear not.
God is able to save unto the uttermost them that come to him.
The angel said He is risen, no more dead. Come see where He laid. The grave is empty.

This is pleasant news to the soul.

IMPLICATION and MEANING OF THE RISEN LORD.

1. God is a promise keeper.

Easter shows that God keeps His promise, Whatever promise of the Lord has made concerning you, He will and is keeping, is it redemption, eternal life, healing, protection…He is a promise keeper
Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
The seed of the woman was promised to bring redemption.
Galatians 4:4-5
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

He kept His promise by the death and resurrection of His son.
Whatever God has promised He will do
Psalms 119:89
For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

His word is dependable, that is the message of Easter.

2. God is a waymaker

He makes ways out of every trouble. Man fell, every attempt to redeem man was partial and or unsuccessful, so God saw this inadequacy and sent Jesus His son, a sinless man must bring redemption to a sinful man.

1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

God is faithful. It may look dark always remember God is faithful!
God is a waymaker!

I speak into your life, you are coming out of that situation, coming out victorious, triumphant and with rejoicing.

3. Whatever has a beginning will have an end.

The resurrection brings to an end the evil imaginations of men.
Luke 22:37
For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
There is a limit to which men and their leader can boast.
I speak to you today, in the name of Jesus you will triumph over every trial because He lives you will live also.
4. It is the victory of life over death.

When He died, He conquered death, prior to this event those who died, where buried but never came back.

Acts 2:22-23
Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Nothing takes God by surprise, everything that happens He already knew.

Acts 2:24
Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
Death swallowed others but for Him it was impossible.
He lives today, He declared that I am He who was dead, now I live forevermore. He said all powers in HEAVEN AND EARTH is given unto me.
Think about that. No leader or Prophet or scientists on earth could ever proclaim this, except He Jesus.
He delivered the power to His disciple.
Life conquers death
5. It’s an attestation that good will certainly prevail over evil.
No matter how many are on the side of evil. It’s a proof that truth will always prevail over falsehood.
Nothing can be done against the truth. Evil can never stand the power of good, light must conquer darkness.

GOD WILL OVERCOME EVIL.

6. Gives us hope for the future

Give us hope of a new life in heaven, and a good life here on earth. believe it, it would come to pass.

John 14:19
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
If God did what he promised in raising Christ, He will keep His promise concerning us.

Life is assured in Christ for today and tomorrow

7. It authenticates our redemption in Christ Jesus. gives credence to our faith and gospel.

1 Corinthians 15:14-15
And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
Because He is risen our faith is authenticated. Without Him rising up from the dead there is no Christianity.

May the power of resurrection lift you up.

Romans 6:12
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Appropriate His work of suffering on the cross and the power of the resurrection in your life, say;
Lord Jesus, I believe you love me and died for me, I receive you into my heart, I believe you will come back soon and take me to yourself. Thank you for saving me
I pray for all that Let the message of Easter bring strength to the weak, healing to the sick, pains and aches live your bodies. I command every affliction to depart from your body
