Rejoicing From The Desert with Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude

Rejoicing from the desert.

Isaiah 35:1-2 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
Joy has nothing to do with the environment, God desires that whatever situation His children find themselves, it should be joyful. As you move on this year, you must work very hard to preserve your joy, do not allow anyone to still your joy.

Why should the desert rejoice?

The desert represents hardship, un-productivity, so the question is how can joy come from such a place?
This can only when the God who makes desert blossom steps in.
Psalms 84:5-6 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
The world has no place for the fearful and those who surrender to unpleasant situations in their lives.
The life of shifting blaming is not the way of the believer in Jesus Christ. Every situation that presents itself to you is conquerable. So go forth and conquer them.
James 1:1-2 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Understand that all problems are not new, you are not alone…so count it all joy, work at it and conquer.
The devil desires to make us moody and live the blame life, blaming yourself and blaming God…Do not give him room. Take a good look at your life, see the good in your life and praise God for it.
There can be rejoicing from the desert. God whom we serve has the power to turn the desert into a fruitful land.
Psalms 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand, there are pleasures forevermore.
If you refuse to submit your joy to the devil you have defeated him.
Psalms 126:5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Continue to sow, continue to work, Joy dwells in you and it would manifest.

Why is Joy necessary?

Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
A joyful heart works like medicine.
It’s true you may not have accomplished all you planned for, do not give the joy you have to the devil
Joy is a choice. Decide to keep it in spite of what you face.
Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; There is no failure in God.
Habakkuk 3:17-18 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The enemy would not steal your joy.
Isaiah 12:3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
Salvation has many wells, from knowledge to prosperity, good health…so in Joy begin to draw water from the wells of salvation. In the year help cometh you from unusual sources. Help is on your way!
Luke 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
There is a way where there is no way!
You may not know how and when, but He will do it again.
Make up your mind to be JOYFUL this year. I appreciate what you have stopped looking outside.
The Joy of the Lord is your strength.
Wake up and be grateful. Rejoice in the Lord even in the face of uncertainty, You may not know what lies ahead but you know the God who has been in the future.
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Serve the Lord with gladness.
