YESTERDAY, TODAY & TOMORROW with Rev.Felix Omobude
Yesterday is the day before today. But it is really more than that, it refers to days behind us.
Prayers:
Psalms 109:4-7 For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer. And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love. Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand. When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.
Psalms 71:17-18 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.
Psalms 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Yesterday is as far as you can rollback.
Is yesterday Important?
Yes, if you do not know your yesterday, you may not be able to handle today and to a large extent your future.
Today is a product of the seed sown yesterday. There is hardly anything to be done about your past. But it is still very important. Some have had a rough yesterday and they allow it to ruin their today.
May your yesterday not cripple you today.
The Lord does not see as man sees, God looks inwards. Never forget what God has done in your lives, you may come to crossroads in your life.
Hebrews 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Don’t put it till tomorrow what you can do today. How you handle today, affects how tomorrow will be.
It is important that you use your today to glorify Him. Today is cash and tomorrow is a postdated cheque.
Manage your today well.
If your yesterday was bad, fight hard today to change your narrative today. so tomorrow will be better.
Change the NARRATIVE TODAY! Enough of complaining about the bad yesterday. Stand up and fight for your today. Today if your parents left a bad name for the family, you can change it.
2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Do not put till tomorrow what you can do today.
Tomorrow!
There are many with good beginnings that end life woefully. May your tomorrow does not betray you. May it speak well for you.
Psalms 71:18 Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to everyone that is to come.
God heard this prayer
2 Samuel 23:1-3 Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said, The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue. The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.1 Chronicles 29:26-28 Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem. And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.
May your story not end abruptly.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
Jesus came to take of your yesterday, our today and our forever. There is equilibrium in life only in a redeemed life in Jesus Christ. Change the narrative. Embracing Jesus Christ settles your yesterday, your today and your tomorrow
